short intro

Be surprised to hear the contrasting crazy and noisy traffic to the silence and peacefulness of Riads. It’s like entering to a totally different world. As soon as stepping into a Riad you hear nothing but silence.

And what a better way to enjoy your stay than by eating a delicious couscous and tajin seasoned with many spices… and to top up, finishing with a Moroccan tea with some traditional biscuits?

It is a fact Riads are meant to relax and disconnect from the outside world. You’ll see how true is this sentence when you experience it. Marrakech is quite famous for its crazy traffic, even in the Medina with all motorbikes feeling the kings of the jungle. However, I’m not sure what really happens but when you get to your Riad you enter to a wonderland world. It’s more like ‘don’t judge a book by its cover’ feeling. You will probably see a small door and nothing really fancy from the outside and probably be thinking… ‘this looks very small’. But when you step inside you get boost for how huge it can get and how different it is from what you see from the outside.

SOME AMAZING THINGS TO DO IN MARRAKECH:

Get a henna tattoo and show it off for as long as it lasts

Hear the Islamic call to pray and watch how everyone shows respect by stopping noisy activities they might be doing until the call finishes

Relax and get surprised in a traditional hammam. The experience might be a bit shocking at first but totally memorable at the end. Important the word ‘traditional’ as it’s very different to other hammams you might have been to. I really recommend Hammam Ziani.
