WHAT TO EXPECT
Thailand is still today my favorite place in the world. The culture is so close and warm to you that makes you feel like home. I felt that the whole country welcomed me with all the kindness they had in their hearts. No doubt why I returned back two years later, I just had to. Someone said once… ‘return back to the places you once found happiness’, and that’s what I did.

Pick a destination
- Bangkok
- Chiang Mai
- Khao Sok
- Phi Phi
- Koh Samui
Best time to visit
The best time to travel is between November to April (dry season) – though expenses are higher as it’s much more touristy. If you want to avoid crowds then travel between May to October as it’s low season but you might experience often but short-lived rainstorms. However, you’ll be rewarded with cheaper flights, accommodation and much more activity availability.

THINGS TO KNOW
Currency: The Thai Baht (THB)
Language: Thai is the official language in Thailand and you’ll find many people who speak english.
Plugs: Types A, B, and C and the standard voltage is 230 V.
VISA: Citizens from Spain, UK, France, USA, Australia, Canada, Israel, Japan, New Zealand, Switzerland, Poland, Iceland and Norway only need a valid passport to enter and will allow to stay in the country for up to 30 days without a VISA. Other nationalities must obtain a Tourist Visa from the Thai embassy or consulate in their home country.
Safety: Thailand is generally a safe country to travel to. Theft and tourist scams are usually the only two things to worry about. The southern provinces of Yala, Pattani, and Narathiwat should be avoided as they are the scene of some attacks by insurgent groups since 2004
Health: Private hospitals, particularly in Bangkok, have a high health standard but it is advisable to travel with a good health insurance.
